Migrations to AWS and Azure that make operations simpler and costs legible, even for systems that were never built for the cloud. Identity and access come designed in, from SSO and MFA to permissions on sensitive data.
When the original team is gone
We take over platforms that other people built, operations and compliance included. Then we modernise them while they keep running. We have done it with payment platforms that could not stop for a day.
Apple platform craft
Native apps in Swift and SwiftUI with backends to match, for products where the experience is the product. Our own Cocktail Shuffle is a slot machine that lands on real cocktails.
Leadership that still codes
Team building, mentoring and certified agile coaching from engineers who never stopped shipping. We have served as CTO, lead architect and Scrum Master, sometimes all in the same engagement.

Took over and ran two payment platforms, PCI DSS included. Then built a merchant portal and helped roll out AI assisted development across the organisation.

Securities trading for institutional and retail customers, in one of the largest IT projects in the bank. We led a team of fifteen.

Every abstraction, framework and service has to deliver concrete value, or it goes.

Architecture means little without the craft to land it in working code. We operate at both altitudes, always.
Behind the prompt
New technology has never scared us. We try it, we measure it and we keep it when it earns its place. AI has earned its place. It clears away the boring work, sharpens the thinking on the hard work, and it is already part of how we deliver every engagement.
It is not autonomous, though. Whatever the demos promise, there is always somebody behind the prompt, and that somebody could be anybody. An experienced engineer gets architecture that holds, code that scales and functionality that is actually correct. Someone without the scars gets something that merely looks right.
You get the results you prompt for.
Some companies believe AI means they can trade their experienced engineers for outsourced juniors with a chat window. We believe they will discover, expensively, that domain knowledge was the product all along. AI amplifies whoever holds it, and amplified inexperience is still inexperience.
So no, AI is not here to take the jobs. It is a tool that makes good people faster, just like compilers, frameworks and the cloud before it. How we work with it every day is described in Two Models and an Engineer.
